The muscle car maker Dodge has unveiled its brand new Challenger at New York Expo 2014. This new car is the revised version of the previous retro muscle cars of Dodge. The Challenger has ever been the biggest and muscular car that make people feel its presence on the roads. This car is a comfortable vehicle for long trips that prove the perfection of Dodge.
This new car has added split grille and new projector headlights along with LED daytime running lights. Dodge has made a big change in the back of the car. The full length tail light has been replaced by two separate smaller lights. Lots of other changes have been made by the designers in the interior part that makes the car more worthy. The instrument cluster has been refurnished with a new seven inch configurable display that is exactly between the tachometer and speedometer.
Talking about the engine, it is still unchanged as compared to the previous one. Still this car will come forward with a standard 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 that blows 305 hp with 8-speed automatic variant. Other is 5.7 litre HEMI V8 engine for the R/T variants that makes 375 hp along with 6-speed Tremec manual gearbox. The Scat Pack gives the Challenger a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 making 485 hp to a 6-speed manual gearbox. All models are rear-wheel drive only.
It is available in eight different trim levels : SXT, SXT Plus, R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker, 6.4-litre Scat Pack and 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker. The production will start from the third quarter of 2014.
