DSK Adjourned the Hyosung GD250N and RT250D, Engrossed with Benelli

These days, DSK is going through a very tight schedule. As, the firm is busy handling two foreign two-wheeler manufacturers in India. The DSK is having a joint- venture with the Hyosung and now with an Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Benelli. Both the firms have entered the Indian market by having collaboration with the Pune based Indian company. Currently, the DSK Hyosung is having total six models in the Indian portfolio and the firm is planning to expand the business by launching two more models for the 2015 line-up.

The South Korean business partner of the DSK, i.e. Hyosung, is planning to offer some more models under the 250cc segment. The proposed models for the 2015 line-up are Hyosung GD250N and RT250D. But, now it seems that the launching of these two models is being delayed due to the Benelli's launching line-up. Benelli has entered Indian Two-wheeler market carrying a wide range of sports motorcycles, street-fighters and cruisers, which belongs from different segments. The smallest engined motorcycle offered by the firm is the BN302, which seems to be competing against the newly introduced Kawasaki Z250 and KTM RC 390.

DSK Hyosung GD250N

The same deal has to be done with Hyosung, as the firm also wanted to rule the 250cc segment by rivaling against KTM RC 200 and other upcomings. So, that’s the reason behind the delayed launch of the naked upcoming motorcycles from the South Korean manufacturer. The Hyosung GD250N is powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine carrying an engine displacement of 249cc. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission and also acquires various enhanced electronic equipments.
