Ducati India to Launch XDiavel, XDiavel S Next Month

Get ready to embrace two new monsters from Ducati, namely, XDiavel and XDiavel S in the Indian two-wheeler segment next month. Reportedly, the company has imported few units of the said motorcycles to India all the way from the Ducati’s Thailand plant. As per the statistics from an import/export website, all the bikes have been imported to Mumbai as Completely-Built-Up (CBU) units.

For a recall, bookings for the XDiavel has already been started a couple of months ago in outlets across the country. An amount of INR 1 lakh is needed to be paid as a token price at the time of booking. The company has announced earlier its plans about launching the XDiavel in India in July this year, albeit, we are still unaware why it got postponed two months later. Probably, the Italian marque wants to cash more by the festive launch.

Talking about the mechanical stuff, the XDiavel and the XDiavel S get Ducati’s 1,262cc, L-Twin engine, which is able to yield a smacking power of 154BHP at 9500 RPM and 128.9NM of torque at 5000 RPM. All the power will be delivered to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission having a slipper clutch. Both of them feature a ride-by-wire technology along with multiple riding modes as per different situations.

The XDiavel is marked as Ducati’s first belt driver cruiser owing to its manufacturing around an entirely new steel tubular trellis frame. With revised ergonomics, the comfort level has been enhanced offering a more laid behind riding posture. At the technical ground, the two new Ducati’s are the replicas of the rest in the segment featuring cornering ABS, traction control, and a launch control system. The XDiavel S features a full LED lighting with DRLs, infotainment appliance, and a Bluetooth part. Moreover, a machined touch on the engine belt cover, mirrors, and alloy wheels are some of the extra stuff sported as well. Thanks to the Ducati Power Launch (DPL), both the machines now guarantee fast and safe starts possessing the sporty persona as well.

At the time of launch, the Ducati XDiavel will carry a price tag of INR 15.56 lakh (Ex-showroom, Mumbai), however, you could be the proud owner of the XDiavel S by paying a relatively high price due to extra goodies.
