Ducati Scrambler: A long wait has finally come to an end at INTERMOT 2014

The Italian manufacturer has finally revealed the most awaited and rumored motorcycle at the International Motorcycle Show, INTERMOT, 2014. The company has showcased the Ducati Scrambler on its pre-scheduled time, which was at 6:00pm in the evening. The latest motorcycle is completely based upon the Monster 796, but only technically. The designing of the motorcycle is based upon the previous model of Ducati Scrambler. Well, now I really cannot wait more to discuss about this newly launched motorcycle.

Talking about the technical details of the motorcycle, the Ducati Scrambler is powered by an air-cooled, V-Twin engine with an engine displacement of 803cc. The company has used the very same Testastretta V-Twin motor in this retro-styled motorcycle, which was being used in the company's beast, i.e. Monster 796. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission. The power and torque figures are also remained same, i.e. the power generated by the engine is 75PS and a peak torque of 67.7Nm. The Ducati Scrambler weighs 170kgs in total.

Ducati Scrambler is also carrying quite descent features. The motorcycle is featuring a twin-spar trellis frame, which is incorporated with diecast aluminum swing arm. The motorcycle has been carried along with Pirelli rubber tyres with an 18-inch front and 17-inch rear rims. This is a completely naked endure based motorcycle which has been designed specifically for playful riders. Apart from this, the other highlights of this motorcycle are LED headlamp and tail-light, a circular digital instrument cluster and underseat storage along with a USB port.

On the safety front, the Ducati Scrambler is equipped with single front and rear Brembo disc brake incorporated with 2-channel ABS as standard. In order to provide excellent riding quality, the company has provided inverted telescopic front forks and monoshock at the rear. The suspensions are being catered by Kayaba. The playful motorcycle will be available in three different colors. Those are Red, Green and Yellow, which are incorporated with a black colored theme based alloy wheels, engine and motorcycle's frame.
