Now-a-days, introducing a super bike and then launching its siblings has become a trend of various automobile manufacturers. Either they would introduce a naked version of the fully-faired motorcycle or vice-versa. The American automobile manufacturer, EBR is also following the same trend to be in the competition in the global market.
Erik Buell Racing has recently showcased their latest entry in the Superbike family. The high-performance super-fighter motorcycle is named as 1190 SX. The newly introduced motorcycle is a naked version of the elder siblings 1190 RX and EBR RS, the faired version sports motorcycle.
The technical details of the 1190 SX will remain same as of the 1190 RX. However, in technical terms, many of the manufacturers really don't believe to continue with the same engine, but, EBR is not one of them. The company will be continuing with the same four-stroke, liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine which gives an engine displacement of 1190cc. The total power generated by the engine is 185BHP @ 10,600RPM and a peak torque of 137.8Nm @ 8,200RPM. The power figures of the super-fighter will be capable enough to provide its rider a better rideability in each and every circumstance.
The 1190SX will be offered in various color options. These are Frost Bite White, Racing Red and Galactic Black. All these three colors are combined with the secondary body color of charcoal. The braking system has been efficiently provided by the single 8-piston calipers at the front and 2-piston at the rear. The EBR's European office is located in the Netherlands and the American manufacturer is also planning to step into the old settled global markets. The 1190SX will be coming along to Italy carrying a price tag of around €14,000 (18,750 USD). Although, the Italian market is already having its Ducati Monster selling with approx same price tag and KTM and BMW are also standing on the same level in the competition.
