EICMA 2015: Ducati Showcases 959 Panigale, Details Inside

The one of the most-famed two-wheeler makers, Ducati, come up with the dynamic launching of its new 2016 motorcycle, Ducati 959 Panigale, at the ongoing Milan Show. The manufacture has given an extra dose to the new fully-faired motorcycle to boost the overall performance. It is a bigger version of firm’s most popular 899 Panigale. The 2016 model will be positioned at bottom of the company’s flagship series- Panigale. Furthermore, the newly introduced motorcycle will go on sale by the beginning of the upcoming year. It will make its availability in the market in two color options such as Red or White. The motorcycle will be priced around Euro 13,095 (Rs. 13.10 lakh).

The 2016 959 Panigale comes loaded with a host of dynamic upgrades, making it more appealing and striking than its predecessor. The 2016 959 Panigale receives most of its body parts from the Panigale 1299. The new motor benefits with the increased stroke as the stroke has been raised from 57.2mm to 60.8mm, while the bore remains the same- 100mm. The engine displacement has been raised up by 57cc for a total displacement of 955cc. The 2016 Ducati 959 Panigale is powered by the new 955cc T-Twin Superquardo motor that boasts a power output of 157 HP and makes 106 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six speed transmission.

The motor is equipped with new piston crowns and Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coating on the piston pins that will reduce the friction and improved the efficiency. Moreover, the 959 Panigale gets a ride-by-wire throttle, quicker shifter, Ducati traction control system, anti-hope slipper clutch, engine brake control and three level Bosch Anti-lock Braking System. The suspension setup includes a Showa suspension at the front and Sachs suspension at the rear.
