Moto Guzzi, the oldest Italian motorcycle manufacturer, unveiled its new rejuvenating Scrambler named V7 II Stornello at the EICMA. Back in the 1960's, the first version of Sternello was introduced to the US market and now in 2016, it takes a rebirth with an aim to redefine the heritage with a modern taste.

Mechanically, the all new V7 II Stornello is engineered by an 744cc transversely-mounted air-cooled V-twin V7 II engine, which generates 48.6 PS at 6000 RPM and a maximum torque of 60 NM at 2800 RPM, unlike the original Sternello which was powered by a single one. The engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox with header pipes curl around the front of the engine. The suspension duties are performed by a 40mm telescopic fork offering 130mm of travel and two spring preload adjustable rear shocks with 111mm of travel. Mudguards and footpegs are made of aluminium alloy for lighter weight.
Spotlighting the body dynamics, the new V7 II Stornello Scrambler carries wire spoke wheels with knobby tyres, high-mounted arrow exhaust (with heat shields), longer seat and lower seating position, fork dust boots and mud guards. The classic look doesn't exclude the ancient look yet maintained the modern touch via ABS and switchable traction control. Other additions include, 5.5 gallon fuel tank, side number plates and a claimed weight of 185 kg.

Popular rivals who have recently launched their Scrambler models, namely, Ducati, BMW and Triumph will be the tough competitors for the newcomer. Pricing for the bike has not been confirmed yet.
