EICMA 2016: Updated Ducati Monster 1200S Unveiled; Expels More Power

After unveiling new Scramblers globally, the Italian marque has now introduced an updated trim of the biggest and baddest Monster’s in the company product portfolio. The new year version of the Ducati Monster 1200S witnessing an array of visual and mechanical updates has been showcased ahead of the 2016 EICMA.

Evidently, this replacement of the ongoing model has got a sleeker tank design, single-sided swingarm, reworked tail section which is adorned with the sporty tail light unit. The presence of an all-new headlamp and tech genius electronic package shared from the 1299 panigale, has also been observed on this revived prototype.

Powered by the Euro-IV emission norms compliant 1198cc L-twin engine, the 2017 Ducati Monster 1200S is rated to generate power figures of 150bhp and 126 Nm. The company claims the bike churns out 5bhp more power than the previous S model.

Moreover, for an improved performance, the fitment like cornering ABS, Bosch IMU which handles traction control and the wheelie control and the three different riding modes include Sport, Touring, and Urban are among the host of offered electronics.

The 2017 Ducati Monster 1200S is available in two color options of red and black as standard and, a limited edition liquid Grey Concrete trim with a black frame and wheels. Indian launch of the Monster S is likely to happen sometime in next year.
