Ferrari has finally launched it much-awaited Ferrari 488 GTB in India. The car made its first debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. It is said that the sports car is the successor to the iconic 458 Italia. The new Ferrari 488 will be available at an starting price INR 3.88 crores (ex-showroom). The company will also offer some buyer customizable options that will be priced accordingly.
Designed at Ferrari studio, the 488 GTB boasts of ultimate aerodynamic body design with sophisticated cooling and air transmission system. However, it gets a revised front profile along with large air intakes. The additional side air vents help in cooling the engine efficiently. The rear profile too gets the revised taillamps accompanied with rear diffuser and dual exhaust.
The 488 GTB is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre engine that churns out a maximum power output of 660 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 760 Nm at 3,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 7-speed double clutch gearbox. The company claims that the new 488 GTB can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.0 sec.It holds a top speed of 330 kph.
