Fifth Generation Honda Odyssey Testing Spotted ahead of its Debut

The news has been surrounded around all the corners that Honda is expected to bring out the latest generation model of its Odyssey minivan. Some of the patent images have also been released by the Japan's Patent office that has been forwarded online through a news channel, Auto Guide. Now, the air is clear when a test mule of the upcoming Honda Odyssey has been spied on the California roads. The pictures have been taken by the TFLcar reader Dimitri.

Besides the body structure, no details have been showed off by these images owing to the car is highly camouflaged from all the angles. Yeah! It is so much identical to the above mentioned images. Yet to be confirmed officially, the fifth generation Odyssey could continue to be powered by the same 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine that also runs under the hood of 2016 Honda Pilot as well some updates are also on the list. There are no such details about the transmission, it could be a 9-speed automatic unit.

With information available, the company can also offer an electric hybrid or plug-in hybrid option with this model. Based on the third generation Honda Pilot's platform, the 2017 version would be launched later next year or early 2018.

Apart from the above mentioned news, Honda Car India is all set to launch its all-new compact SUV, BR-V today. Those who are not aware of the details, this new car is designed to replace the company's first MUV model, Mobilio in the country. From day one of its debut, the BR-V has been creating quite the sensation among the buyers owing to its design and features. The BR-V will be offered with both petrol and diesel motor options, where former is good for 120 PS of power and the latter is tuned to belt out a power of 100PS. A 6-speed manual gearbox will come paired to both units, while a CVT choice will also be there for the petrol option.

Anyway, those who want to spend an amount between INR 9.0 Lakhs to INR 14 Lakhs can have eyes on the vehicle, which is going to be revealed in just a couple of hours later at an event in Delhi.
