Finally, Volvo to Launch Next Generation XC90 SUV

The Swedish car maker, Volvo, who launched their SUV XC90 back in the 2002, will now be launching the next generation model of it. The new XC90 will be the cleanest SUV ever produced in the world according to the company and will be a hybrid one too. The plans are very much on the cards to launch this SUV by the end of this year if we believe the company officials.

Volvo XC90

The new XC90 will be the first model developed under the company's Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), which is responsible to get the different designs and looks. The best part of the car is its new Drive-E engine technology, about which we informed you in our other post. This Drive-E engine will have 4-Cylinders, supercharged and turbocharged and will supply the power to the front wheels of the car. Now, being a hybrid car, the XC90 will also consist of a hybrid motor for the rear wheels and will produce 80 bhp power to make the net output 400 bhp and 640 Nm.

Volvo XC90 Drive-E Engine

The new XC90 SUV surely have the features to wait for as it would definitely outrun the cars like BMW X series and Land Rovers as well. The new Drive-E engine is also the new family of the power mills developed by the company and will plant it on its all vehicles, but will start from the XC90 later this year or at least this what the company has in its sight till now.
