Ford Cut Down The Prices of Figo And Aspire by Upto INR 91,000

Ford India has slashed the prices of its premium hatch Figo and compact sedan Aspire by upto INR 91,000. The price of Figo’s entry-level, Ambient and Trend variants remain unchanged, while the prices of Titanium and Titanium+ variants have been cut down. Whereas in Aspire, only the price of Ambient variant remains unchanged, the prices of rest all, Trend, Titanium and Titanium variants have been revised.

Ford also reported that the revised prices will be implemented with immediate effect. This is the second time in this year when Ford slashed the price of its models, following the EcoSport in early this year by almost INR 1.0 Lakh.

In respect to their powertrains, Figo’s 1.2-litre petrol powered models now stand between INR 4.54 Lakh and INR 6.29 Lakh, after the price deduction between INR 29,000 and INR 30,000. Whereas, the Figo’s 1.5-litre diesel powered models are now started from INR 5.63 Lakh to INR 7.18 Lakh, after the price cut of INR 50,000 for top two variants.

In Aspire, the 1.2-litre petrol powered variants will now being sold between INR 5.28 Lakh and INR 6.8 Lakh, after the price reduction in the range from INR 25,000 to INR 91,000. Whereas, the Aspire’s 1.5-litre diesel models now stand in the price range between INR 6.37 Lakh and INR 7.89 Lakh, after the price cut in the range between INR 25,000 and INR 91,000.

Anurag Mehrotra, Executive Director (Marketing, Sales and Service), Ford India said, “With the realignment of prices, Figo and Aspire are even more compelling for customers. The realignment also enhances the accessibility of these outstanding products, which offer segment-first safety features and class-leading technologies,"

Due to the continuous drop in the sales of both the hatch and the compact sedan models, the American auto major has to take this step. And the revised prices should help the brand with an improved number of sales for both the models. The revised prices have brought the Ford Figo and Ford Aspire closer to the competition in the respective segment.
