Ford India is offering EcoSport with dual airbags for driver and front passenger across all the trim. However, the compact SUV still comes with the standard dual airbags on all variants except the base level. With this, the entire Ford India line-up gets dual airbags as a standard feature throughout all model ranges, except Figo. Figo also gets dual airbags on all but the base model.
A few driving safety features like ABS and EBD are yet to be offered on the Ambient variant of Ford Ecosport. While the top-end trims Titanium+ and Titanium AT are offered with total 6 airbags, the AT model further gets several driving assist technologies such as Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control and Hill-Launch Assist (HLA).
Mechanically, EcoSport is available in total 10 variants, 5 are diesel powered and 6 are petrol powered. These variants include three engine options namely, a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine with power and torque outputs of 100PS and 205 Nm respectively, a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine with power and torque outputs of 112 PS and 140 Nm respectively and a 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine with power and torque outputs of 125PS and 170 Nm respectively. The 1.5-litre petrol mill has a choice of manual and automatic transmission on the range topping model, while the rest of two powertrains are offered with the only manual transmission.
The base Ambient variant of Ford EcoSport priced at INR 7.10 Lakh while the range topping Titanium+ comes with a price tag of INR 10.05 Lakh.
