Ford is all geared to introduce a heavily updated EcoSport in the country on November 9, 2017. This facelifted version will have a fresh face along with a host of added features on exterior that will scale up compact SUV’s appearance to a next level. Besides, the new model will also be offered with a new petrol powertrain. Here’s all you will get with the forthcoming Ford EcoSport Facelift.

Exterior

The exterior of the new EcoSport is the one that will seek your attention most as the all the major updates are concentrated to it. Start with it’s face that receives the embellishment of a new hexagonal grille flanked by sharp, angular headlamp that resembles to the Mustang or the Endeavour. Other components include a redesigned front bumper, fog lamps, and new 17-inch alloy wheels shod up with 205/50 R17 tyres (on the Titanium+ variant). Well, the profile of the new EcoSport is almost similar to the regular model.

Interior

inside the cabin, the company has made considerable changes that are a new centre console layout and a touch screen Ford SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new Instrument cluster and steering wheel, etc. However, the dash layout is more or less the same. The cabin is now decorated with body-coloured inserts instead of silver accents on offer in the previous model.

Powertrain

Under the hood, the next-gen Ford EcoSport gets a new 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine that will be associated by either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
With this mechanism, the engine is said to develop the maximum power of 121bhp and 150Nm of top torque. Other than this, the company will continue to offer the same 1.5-litre diesel engine of the regular model. Mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the oil burner is capable of churning out the 99bhp of maximum power.

Safety and Other Features

To take care the life of occupants, the new EcoSport is being furnished with the equipments such as six airbags and ABS with EBD, electronic stability control hill-launch assist, traction control for the top end variant. While, the automatic variant will also get emergency brake assist along with these mentioned safety features. Other standard features comprise automatic headlamps, cruise control, a speed-limiter function, a rear-view camera, automatic wipers and climate control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, dual USB ports, steering-mounted audio and trip controls and paddle shifter for the automatic variant.
