Ford Endeavour SUV, Price Increased By Up to INR 1.72 Lakh

Ford India has raised the price of its much-anticipated SUV, the Ford Endeavour in the range from INR 1.43 Lakh to INR 1.72 Lakh.
The current generation Ford Endeavour was introduced in the country in January this year and since then, it has been selling around 400-600 units per month.

It is quite surprising that just two days ago the American auto giant had cut down the prices of its Figo twins - Figo hatchback and Aspire Sedan, and now hiked another offering’s price. Whatever the strategy behind the price hike and drop, the upcoming months’ sales report will it, whether it goes negative, positive or remain unaffected.

According to the new price list, the top-end trim in 3.2-litre engine options, Ford Endeavour Titanium 4X4 (All Wheel Drive) AT costs INR 31.17 Lakh after a price bump of INR 1.71 Lakh. Whereas the top-model in 2.2-litre engine options, Ford Endeavour Titanium 4X2 (Two Wheel Drive) AT reaches to INR 28.81 Lakh with the price hike of INR 1.44 Lakh.

2016 Ford Endeavour New Price List

Talking About the powertrain, the third generation Endeavour is offered with two diesel engine options - a 2.2 litre, 4-cylinder motor that churns out a maximum power of 160PS and a peak torque of 385Nm. Whereas the higher option carries a 3.2-litre, 5-cylinder engine configuration under the beneath of front end which is capable of producing 200PS of maximum power in combination with 470Nm of peak torque. The smaller engine (2.2-litre) is available with both an automatic and a manual transmission, while the bigger one (3.2-litre) is offered with an automatic transmission only. All units are paired with a 6-speed transmission.

In terms of features, the base variant (Trend Variant) includes power adjustable and foldable outside mirrors, leather upholstery, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat and rear parking sensors with the camera. Some other technology-wise features are dual-zone climate control, cruise control, dual-airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control and ESP.
Whereas the top-end trims feature 7 airbags, a volumetric burglar alarm, Ford’s Terrain Management System, electric foldable third-row seats and a panoramic sunroof.
Besides all these, all variants come equipped with a TFT infotainment system with the CD, AUX and 2 USB ports, and Bluetooth connectivity.
