Ford Figo Aspire Compact Sedan to be Launched in June in India

As yesterday we told you that the Ford's new upcoming Figo Aspire compact sedan will be the first car to be manufactured in Sanand plant situated in Gujrat and now, there is one more confirmation today that the company will launch this vehicle in India in June, 2015. It would undergo production very soon this year and will receive attractive front fascia alongside a trapezoidal grille, sweptback headlamps, new foglamps and a large bumper including wide air dam. However, its rear profile would get boomerang shaped taillights, rear view mirror with integrated turn indicators and stunning bumper comprising silver diffuser.

This runabout will be introduced as the replacement of the Ford Classic with royal interior, including side as well as curtain airbags. Moreover, the sub 4 metre Figo Aspire compact sedan would also reckon SYNC alongside AppLink entertainment system within its cabin, while the regular variants will feature a mobile docking station. Notably, the Figo Aspire will be powered by a 1.2 litre TiVCT petrol engine and a 1.5 litre diesel mill, but the power outputs are yet to be announced.

On the other hand, Ford is expected to offer a 1.5 litre petrol engine too, which is probably to be coupled with a dual clutch automatic transmission. Its exact launch date has not been finalized, while the car will be acquainted this year in June between the anticipated price of INR 5.5 Lacs to INR 7 Lacs and would compete against the likes of Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, Maruti Dzire and Tata Zest.
