The Ford Figo facelift was spied recently and is expected to be launched in early 2019. The model was not covered thus showing its new front and back bumpers, changed headlights, a honeycomb grille same like the Aspire facelift and new multi-spoke black alloy wheels.

The Figo’s tailgate has a back strip along with the word Blu written on the right side which indicates that it will be powered by a CNG variant or a new variant. The test vehicle might also be a top-spec trim because it has a rear wash/wipe, a stop-lamp mounted in the rear spoiler and a 15-inch alloys.

The cabin will also be same as the new Ford Aspire. The internal will have features like a new floating display for the infotainment system i.e. Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatible, steering-mounted audio controls automatic climate control, and new upholstery. Same like the Aspire, there will also be safety features in Figo facelift like- ABS with EBD, dual-airbags, hill assist, brake assist and rear parking sensors.

The powertrain and the transmission of Figo will be same as the Aspire i.e. 96hp/120Nm, 1.2-litre petrol powertrain from Ford’s Dragon series of powertrains, the 123hp/150Nm, 1.5-litre petrol powertrain and the 100hp/215Nm, 1.5-litre diesel powertrain. The 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesel powertrains are coupled with the 5-speed manual as standard, the 1.5 petrol will only be mated with the 6-speed automatic transmission.

Without any update, the current Figo is on sale and competes with the rivals Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Suzuki Swift and will give great competition to the rivals.
