Lately, the market had been speculating that the launch of new Figo hatchback from Ford will take place on this year's Diwali. But recently, at the launch of Figo Aspire, a company official has disclosed that the launch is scheduled before the festival. This upcoming car has been spied many times in India and thus there is no suspense regarding its features. Moreover, the fact that it is going to be the same Ford Ka model sold in Brazil further confirms its exterior and interior details. It will also bear resemblance to the newly launched Aspire sedan, particularly the rear portion.
From outside, the fascia flaunts slated grille inspired from Aston Martin, flanked by large headlamps. Like all other Ford models, there are company emblems etched on portions like near the bonnet and on the boot grille. Further, the car also gets features like power antenna, chromed ORVMs, fog lights and a rain sensing wiper at the rear window. Much like the new sedan, it will be available in sparkling gold paint shade.
As we move in, there is a power steering etched with the company logo along with a music system, which is compatible with Bluetooth and USB connection. The trim belonging to the top range boasts of an all-leather interior with its seats, door inserts and gear lever covered in leather. Apart from these, important safety features like airbags, ABS and EBD will also be found in this hatchback.
The most important portion i.e. the powertrain will be derived from Aspire consisting of both diesel and petrol options. However, the 1.5 litre Ti-VCT motor with six-speed DCT transmission might not be equipped in this hatchback. This implies that there will be only a manual gearbox that will send power to the wheels.
