The new compact SUV spied recently and it is speculated that it disguised as the new-gen Ford Fiesta. Instantly, it was not possible to guess that it can be Next-Gen EcoSport under the weird looking Fiesta. But as guess suggests, it can be the next-gen Ecosport or can be a compact SUV, Ford Off-Road Small Utility, that Ford teased lately for its debut at the 2018 New York International Auto Show (Mar 30 - Apr 8, 2018).
From the spy images, it can be assumed that the next-gen EcoSport which is disguised as the Fiesta and addition of chassis updates is under testing.
This time the wheelbase is longer and the track is wider as well. Ford has made the production localized of the current EcoSport in the country which is also meant for being a production hub for the SUV development. As the platform is same, now it is easy for the company to bring the Next-gen EcoSport here.

This testing car can be the new Ford Off-Road Small Utility concept as well looking similar in design like the upcoming Ford Bronco. The concept is expected to compete against India-bound Jeep Renegade, the upcoming Renault Duster, and the Hyundai Creta. If it is the fact, the platform of Fiesta will bring a new compact SUV which will be positioned above the EcoSport worldwide. Just similar to the next-gen EcoSport, it will be easy for the company to launch the compact SUV in India as it has a localized platform.
Meantime, the automaker is accessing co-development of a compact SUV along with Mahindra in the country and using the platform of Mahindra. Although, if the new compact SUV shares the platform along with the Fiesta/EcoSport, Ford can also utilize the same rather than platform of Mahindra.
