Ford Offering Mustang GT with New Optional Level Performance Pack

The muscle car Ford Mustang GT that was earlier available with the level 1 performance pack, now is being offered with a new optional level 2 performance pack. Available with only the manual version of the Mustang GT, the level pack 2 will enhance the appeal of facelifted muscle car.

The level 1 pack that is already been provided by the car maker updates the car majorly at cosmetic front along with minor mechanical tweaks. In the new level 2 Performance Pack the Mustang GT receives a new front spoiler that is rated to increase about 11kg worth of downforce at 80kph, and a revived rear spoiler.

Other add ons in the package include an improved steering, bespoke MagneRide dampers along with carried forwarded attributes with improvement such as a stiffer rear stabiliser bar (by 67 percent over the Level 1), front stabiliser bar (by 12 percent), front springs (by 20 percent) and rear springs (by 13 percent).

With the introduction of the 305/30 R19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres and new 19-inch alloys, the ground clearance of car has been reduced by 13mm.

This newly introduced Performance Pack Level 2 is available for pre-bookings and expected to available at the North American dealerships by March 2018.

In India, there is no sign of such performance level packages including level 1 and 2. Here, the brand is offering the pre-facelift version of the Mustang that is powered by 5.0-litre V8 engine. The mentioned powertrain is claimed to generate the whooping power and torque figures, 400hp and 515Nm respectively. The pricing for the pre-facelift Ford Mustang commence at the price sticker of Rs 71.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
