Front Visage of 2017 Nissan Micra is Here!! Debuting at Paris Motor Show

The 2017 Nissan Micra is heading towards its grand debut on September 29 at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. For adding more spice to the excitement, the Japanese multinational giant has released teaser images of the car just a couple of days before the world premiere. Based on the teaser, we have got one of the prominent highlights of the Nissan’s new city four-wheeler. Getting rid of the cute design, this time, the new variant adopts a much sharper styling, which was earlier previewed in the 2015 Sway Concept.

Seeing the pictures, it is now apparent that the fifth generation Micra is pacing on the footsteps of the Sway Concept. Looks like Nissan is aiming to incorporate some workmanship in its designs and that is exactly what we can see in the car under consideration. With a prominent V-motion grille and shinier new headlights, it is evident that the car isn’t a chic anymore and moved for an aggressive make-up.

Completely angular, the new Micra will be longer, wider and lower than the ongoing variant. The angular air vents on the bumper give it an edgy look from the front, while the side profile of the car now looks much sportier than the earlier owing to the sharper creases. A couple of weeks ago, we have shared some clear spy shots of the mini hatch, however, entirely camouflaged, they had still revealed stylish tail-lights and a roof-spoiler.

Underpinned by the CMF-B (Common Module Family for B cars) platform, the fifth-generation variant will cover a wider range of market and become the foundation for the next Nissan Juke. As far as the engine is concerned, it’s going to pack a variety of fuel-efficient three and four cylinder units. Dimensionally, it would be 4,010mm in length, 1,780mm in width and 1,385mm in height. It is to be noted, the numbers are rough figures from the Sway concept, they may vary in the original unit.

According to the media reports, the upcoming model will be launched in petrol and diesel trims, between 0.9 and 0.16 displacement range. Breaking the cover in a few days, the new Nissan Micra would share the market space with the VW Polo, the Ford Fiesta, the Peugeot 208, and the new Citroen C3.
