As we all know that the Italian motorcycle manufacturer has already reached Indian shores with three operational dealerships initially. The Ducati is headquartered in Gurgaon and the remaining two are in Delhi and Mumbai. Now, the surprise for the Ducati Scrambler fans is that the firm has started accepting bookings for the aforementioned motorcycle. The bookings can be done at all the three showrooms of Ducati in the country with an initial booking amount of Rs 2 Lacs. Now, all the four models of the Ducati Scrambler will be available for sale in India and we will soon be seeing them over the Indian tarmac.

The first model going for the sale is the Ducati Scrambler Icon Red, which is priced least in the complete segment or product portfolio offered by the Ducati. The Ducati Scrambler Icon Red is priced at Rs 6.64 Lacs (Ex-Showroom Delhi) and then comes the Ducati Scrambler Icon Yellow carrying a price tag of Rs 6.74 Lacs (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Talking about the official launching of the Scrambler series of motorcycles, it will supposedly take place in the month of May, 2015. The deliveries of the Ducati Scrambler will be effectively followed the launching ceremony of the motorcycles.
Mechanically, the Ducati Scrambler is powered by an L-Twin Desmodromic engine carrying an engine displacement of 803cc. The twin-cylinder, air-cooled motor is tuned to generate a maximum power of 75 BHP @ 8250 RPM and achieves a peak torque of 68 Nm @ 5750 RPM, while mated to a 6-speed transmission. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a chain drive. All the models of the Ducati Scrambler are built around a Tubular steel trellis frame, which is further connected to an Upside-down Kayaba front fork and pre-load adjustable rear shocks. The stopping duties have been taken care by 4-piston caliper disc brake at front and 1-piston floating caliper at the rear, accompanied with ABS as standard.
Before buying the Ducati Scrambler, the buyers will be offered with a test ride of the motorcycle.
