GST Impact: KTM India revises Entire Lineup Pricing; Hiked Up to Rs 5,797

The Austrian bike maker, KTM, which has updated its Indian product lineup early this year, has revised its Indian lineup prices in the wake of new taxation structure, Goods and Services Taxes (GST). As we all know that the GST, which is a unified tax for all the indirect taxes, is all set to hit the country tomorrow, on July 1, 2017. In GST affect, the KTM bikes prices will go up to Rs 5,797.

The increased prices of the KTM lineup, which comprises the Duke 200, 250 & 390 in naked sport segment and the RC 200 & 390 in sport bike category, are as follows. The most affordable KTM motorcycle, the KTM Duke 200 with the price hike of Rs 4063, will now price at Rs 147,567 against ongoing Rs 143,500 price. The Duke 250, which is a new introduction to the Duke range of KTM India, will get a rise of Rs 4,427 on the current Rs 1.73 lakh pricing, which will cost you around Rs 177,424. The range-topping Duke 390 is the only model which will get slight pricer with the addition of Rs 628 and will make you spend Rs 226,358 on the existing price sticker of Rs 225,730.



Now move to the faired illustrations of the Duke range, which only consists two models, the KTM RC 200 and the KTM RC 390. Post GST, the KTM RC 200 will become Rs 4,787 costlier with the price sticker of Rs 176,527 lakh. While, the all-new KTM RC 390 price will advance by Rs 5,797, the most expensive in the entire lineup. After increment, it will be available at Rs 231,097 against the current pricing of Rs 225,300.

Under GST regime, the automobile industry will observe hike in the tax rates. Various two-wheeler manufacturers have started updating the price of their products. While remaining will revise their product lineup pricing soon. In this new taxation structure, the motorcycles with the compact engine will become cheaper as against to the bigger displacement motorcycles.
