Harley Davidson Attains Record Sales of 4,241 Motorcycles in 2016

Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based Harley-Davidson, leads in the premium motorcycles segment in the Indian biking industry. Reportedly, the auto major had a great last year with record sales of 4,241 units across the country, which is 60 percent of the market in the segment. In order to continue this growth story to the next session, the company is pondering to expand its reach to a large extent by introducing new dealerships across the country and mostly in tier II cities and rural areas, as these markets have a passionate audience for Harley.

Currently, the American manufacturer is having a dealership of more than 26 showrooms including recently inaugurated Foothills Harley-Davidson outlet in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. As per the reports, we will witness the introduction of four new outlets this year, which will result in an increase in sales of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.

Apart from this, the brand has also initiated the sale of motorcycles in an all new yet flagship "Street" segment. That has clearly opened a new gate for the bike maker to get increased sale for the company.

In the current scenario, metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh, generates a huge part of Harley's annual sale. But the mentioned facts like new dealerships in tier II cities and the new Street biking segment will definitely play a vital role in maintaining sales momentum in the coming years.
