Harley Davidson Launches its University in Gurugram, India

Harley-Davidson India has commenced a university of its own at the Capital Harley-Davidson dealership in Gurugram, India. Here, the Harley service engineers will be availed with the classroom sessions along with practical to work on the latest Harley-Davidson engines. Besides, the employees will also be benefited with the offered range of courses in management, finance and branding sectors.

This Gurugram based university is the fourth in the row. While the three others are also working effectively in the Asia Pacific region to teach and train employees.

The inauguration of this new Harley-Davidson University took place in the presence of John McEnaney, Regional Lead, Technical Support Asia Pacific of Harley-Davidson. Including this one, Harley-Davidson has a total of 27 dealerships in its network in the regions like north, central, west, south, east and north-east India. With the introduction of this new Harley-Davidson University, the brand will be able to find training requirements for all the technical and non-technical staff at Harley-Davidson dealerships across India.

In India, Harley-Davidson marked its official entry in 2009, and since then the brand is heading towards on the way of success with its available range of models that start from the entry-level Street 750 and goes up to the top-of-the-line Street Rod models along with the imported Touring range.

For 2018 model year, the Indian arm of the American cruiser bikes manufacturer has improved its range of Softail motorcycle with the major upgrades of the new Milwaukee-Eight engine, new suspension and new design. The Softail range of Harley used the four-valve Milwaukee-Eight engine with dual counterbalancers that enhances the performance of these motorcycle models to a great extent.

The aspects those will be put into consideration at the HD-U will comprise training for the service managers and technical staff in servicing and rebuilding department of the new Milwaukee-Eight engines. in addition to this, it will train employees for other services procedures, teach soft skills in management and branding knowledge to the employees.
