Harley Davidson Announces to Enter Used Bikes Segment in India

Harley Davidson, a well-known brand in the cruiser bike segment, is pondering to serve something new for the Indian enthusiasts and fans. The concept is all-new and being tested at select dealerships across the country. In its new approach, the legendary bikemaker will provide used motorcycles in the country which will be more accessible over the brand new product. Well, the concept is under trial but if implemented in the country, it turned out into a dream comes true for those who are willing to opt a Harley for a long time.

In the series of operations commencement, Delhi will be the first to get such facilities to their audience as expected. Later on, with the growing popularity, the brand will look forward to expanding this service in other metro cities.

Sharing his views on the used bike's concept, Peter Mackenzie, the managing director of Harley-Davidson India and Greater China said,“The used bike business will enable us to attract more customers. Secondly, to enable people, perhaps who cannot afford a new Harley-Davidson, but at least get the right Harley-Davidson experience through an authorised dealership,”

Apart from this, the company also have a plan of opening a chain of apparel outlets across the country. That’s pretty evident from Mackenzie’s statement,“We will be opening up more apparel stores in shopping malls so that customers connect and experience the Harley-Davidson brand. That is a major piece of strategy in growing this year”.

Well, it is a great deal for both the manufacturers and customers as they both will be benefited in terms of brand’s popularity and its products at an affordable price chit. In other manufactures, Royal Enfield has already tried his hands with its first such showroom in Chennai. The asked price for the used motorcycles will decide the future of such outlet. Aggressively priced HD models positively are able to attract the customers with a tight budget and will create a new customer base for the brand.
