Here's All You Need to Know About New Hero Splendor iSmart 110

Spotlighting some prominent features on the New Hero Splendor iSmart 110

The all new Splendor from Hero, which is considered a long runner from India's largest bike manufacturer has been developed from the in-house team and promises to give something new and unique every time. Recently, Hero Motocorp has launched its much anticipated Splendor ismart 110cc in the Indian market with an aggressive price tag of Rs 53,300. The bike offers some updated features and outstanding capabilities that seem to benefit the Indian commuter segment. Let's get into what the new Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is boasting to the country's audience:

I3s (Integrated start-stop system)

A very redefining way to save fuel consumption is similar to the old feature that was presented in its previous 100cc sibling. The start-stop feature takes the assumption of city riding combined with all day riding conditions and behaves accordingly. That means whenever the engine goes neutral for more than 5 seconds, it will shut down the engine and to restart again you just have to pull the clutch. With more displacement to offer, this feature will be certainly counted as an advantage.

Digital Dashboard

Even Though it doesn't provide you with fully digital console, the side stand indicator & the service requirement indicator is a good add on. The fuel level and speedometer are analog and the odometer & trip meter comes under digital part. The handle is equipped with the i3s switch and electric start on the right-hand side- high & low beam, pass by a switch on the left.

Innovative Chassis

The new engine which has an upright position unlike other older Splendor provides a good balance and shifts the weight towards the center of the bike, providing smooth experience under low speed riding around the city. Tube & springs of both front & rear remain same but the seat adjustment got a variation with a slight change in foot pegs. Hero engineers said in contrast that this is a suitable change for different rider heights.

Automatic Headlamp ON (AHO)

As seen in the European automobile regulation, this setup is all new for an Indian bike. Still providing the safe measure for the rider as it can be spotted soon across all the two-wheelers and scooters. In this system, there is no switch for turning the headlamps off and the headlamps go active with the start of the engine. It is quite similar to the DRL's in cars. It is said to be a safety measure for ensuring safe riding.

Torque on Demand ( TOD )

This feature is new in the market where Hero pulls the torque between 3000-7500 RPM with the help of bigger valve size and revised cylinder head design. This will help the bike to get improved quality of city ride with a minimum use of RPM in the process. The engine has also seen a change into the moving parts contemporary to the older engine as the parts now do less friction along with a deep level of a tumble for efficient combustion. The bike engine produces 9 BHP at 7500RPM and 9NM at 5500 RPM. It is also configured as the BS-IV Compliant engine in its segment.
