Hero Launches All-New 2017 Glamour 125 In India; Priced at Rs 59,280

Hero MotoCorp has brought the latest model of its Glamour 125 in a whole new avatar. More sharp than ever, the 2017 Hero Glamour is on sale in the Indian biking sector in two trims- the carburetor and the fuel-injected models. These variants further classified on the basis of equipped braking setup, the former one is being offered with drum and disc brake options, while the latter one will only be available in the single choice of the disc brake.

Bookings for the new Hero Glamour which is priced at Rs 59,280 (ex-Mumbai), has already been started. Desirables have to pay only Rs 1000 as token money to book your selected model. However, the deliveries in respect to bookings will be granted after 25 days of bookings. For the disc brake variant that is optional, you have to pay an extra amount of Rs 2000.

Besides this, if we compare this new Glamour 125 with the outgoing model, the premium commuter is a refined model from cosmetics to deep inside the engine front. The ongoing model that ironically has not been discontinued from the lineup, are still available to retail till outstanding stock runs out. With an edgier headlamp, muscular fuel tank, striking dual tone colour schemes and sharper tail, the newly launched model is much appealing than its predecessor.

On the mechanical front, based on a single downtube frame, the 2017 Glamour is equipped with a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is now BS-IV compliant. The mill is capable of producing 11.4bhp (2.3bhp more than earlier) of power and 11Nm (0.7Nm more) of torque, with the help of a mated four-speed gearbox. The claimed fuel efficiency from the country’s largest bike maker for carbureted injected Glamour is 60kmpl and 62 kmpl for FI Glamour.

Moreover, both the variants come equipped with Hero’s patented i3S technology as standard fitting, that ensures less fuel consumption with healthy mileage.

In the market ready to compete with the Honda CB Shine, TVS Phoenix, Bajaj Discover 125 and Yamaha Saluto, the upgraded Glamour is being offered in four color options- blue/black, red/black, silver/black and dark red/black.
