Hero Launches New Passion PRO and XPRO Models in India

With an aim to capture over half of the market share in the domestic motorcycle segment, Hero Motocorp has launched the new models for the Passion moniker termed as the Passion PRO & XPRO. Whereas the pricing for both the variants stand at INR 53,189 and INR 54,189 ex-showroom (Delhi), respectively.

In the 100-110cc segment, where the Hero Splendor is most volume generator followed by the Hero Passion, the company has a huge market share of over 75 percent.

The new Passion PRO is an offering for ‘today’s smart generation’ that comes featured with an 11-litre fuel tank with flush type cap, revised tail lamp and disc brake on top end variant. Well, the commuter is being provided in disc and drum variants.

Among the gizmos, there is a semi-digital instrument console which incorporates digital fuel gauge, trip meter and a side-stand indicator.

The company is offering five metallic colour options for the new Passion Pro which includes Sports Red, Black Monotone, Forced Silver, Heavy Grey and Frost Blue.

The Hero Passion XPRO It is the second model which is the part of automaker’s launch event. The Passion XPRO is more dynamic in nature as compared to the PRO model. It gets LED tail lamp, a 9.2-litre fuel tank and the shared instrument console from the new Passion PRO.

Being offered in dual tone paint scheme, the Passion XPRO is available in different options of Sports Red/Black, Black/Sports Red, Black/Techno Blue, Black/Heavy Grey and Force Silver/Black. Further, the option of tubeless tyres which is not the part of Passion Pro, is also on offer.

New Passion PRO

Mechanically, both the Passion PRO and XPRO models are laden with a BS-IV compliant 110cc engine that is capable of rolling out the maximum power of 9.3bhp @ 7500 rpm along with 9 Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm. The power transmission is under the care of a 5-speed gearbox on both the motorcycles. In addition to that, the engine is incorporated with the brand’s patented i3S system that ensures better fuel economy. For the 0-60kmph sprint, the bikes took 7.45 seconds to complete.
