Hero Passion Pro to be Smarter With i3S Technology

As we noted you a couple of days ago, the largest two wheeler selling brand, Hero Motocorp is thinking over to flood the Indian auto segment with the new introduction and updated range of available lineup by 2017. Out of the rumored 15 new motorbikes, the three which are slated to grace this approaching festive season include facelifted Super Splendor, 150cc Achiever, and a revised Passion Pro. The upgraded Passion Pro will come fitted with the trademarked i3s technology as standard.

If go back in the past, a test mule which was considered as a Hero Passion iSmart was spotted earlier in January 2016. The spied mule was likely to be premiered at the biggest auto event in Greater Noida in next month. The bike had been Identified as a revived Hero Passion Pro by the featured i3S blue switch on the right side switchgear console and the similar styling of the ongoing model. Expected to carry the self-developed 111cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, the smarter Hero Passion Pro is on the edge to make debut near this Diwali.

Currently, the Splendor iSmart and Splendor iSmart 110 are the only available products using this i3S (Ideal Start Stop System) in the company’s lineup. The i3S technology helps to reduce the fuel consumption by shuts the engine off when idling and turn it on again with a simple press of the clutch. The upcoming Passion Pro will be the next addition in the row at the price tag around Rs. 3000 over the equivalent standard model.

Besides, the Hero has already mentioned the expansion of this technology across its complete commuter range as its future plan that will not only improve the company’s commuters reliability but also reduce their maintenance cost.
