Hero Motorcorp is nowhere less than any other automobile manufacturer in India. Either it's about the product quality or any commercial, Hero has its own mark all over the places. Coming towards the point, recently, the company had released a TV infomercial showcasing new upcoming motorcycles.
The upcoming motorcycles are named as Hero Hastur 620 and HX250R. The concept models have been showcased by the company at the Delhi Auto Expo, 2014 in the month of February. The technical specifications have also been revealed by the manufacturer. Both of the upcoming motorcycles would be positioned on the top of the list among all other products from the Hero Motorcorp.
Let's get in detail of both these motorcycles. The Hero Hastur 620 gets its power from a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, parallel twin-engine, which gives an engine displacement of 620cc. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable to generate a peak horsepower of 80PS @ 9600RPM and peak torque of 72Nm @ 7750RPM. Hero Hastur 620 is a naked street-fighter motorcycle, who's designing and styling has been done by EBR (Erik Buell Racing), Hero Motocorp's partner on American ground. The performance, handling and mileage, which will be delivered by the company, would be best ever, as claimed by Hero Motocorp. Talking about the styling of the motorcycle, it really stands out of the Hero's fashion.
Now, here comes the Hero HX 250R. The HX 250R will be featuring a DOHC, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine along with an engine displacement of 249cc. The engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. The engine will be able to belt out 31PS of horsepower and a peak torque of 26Nm. The claimed top speed of the motorcycle touched 37.2mph in 2.7 seconds. The HX 250R stands just above the top reached segment, i.e. Hero Karizma R with 223cc, so by introducing the 250cc and 620cc motorcycles, it looks like that the company would like to do something out of the box. We will be expecting both these motorcycles to launch soon, might be at the end of the fiscal year.
