The 9th generation Honda Accord could be at your doorsteps very soon as the dealerships across the country have started accepting the bookings for the premium sedan. With the launch calendarized on 25th October, the Japanese automaker’s next flagship is expected to sit between a price tag of INR 28 lakh- INR 32 lakh. Talking about the 9th generation variant, the Accord took its first move in India eight years back, however, owing to the massive cost, it was discontinued and returned after a period of 5 years.
At the exterior, the exclusive hybrid model from Honda is a combination of sleek and sport lines with a lean stance. Aggressive from the front visage, the forthcoming sedan is ornamented by the chrome-laced grille, revamped bumpers, and edgy headlamps with LED ribbon. On the contrary, the inside gets complimented by a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera, Apple CarPlay support, and six airbags.

Powering the Honda Accord Hybrid is a 2.0-litre iVTEC engine packed with twin electric motors. Linked to an E-CVT unit, the motor gets accelerated with a 1.3 kW lithium-ion battery. The hybrid machine manages to generate 195BHP in contrast to 141BHP with the petrol engine. The maximum torque measured is beyond 300NM. Coming over to the petrol variant, Honda might introduce a petrol unit as well in India.
