Honda Africa Twin Confirms its Arrival in Autumn 2015

After revealing the concept at the EICMA, 2014, the Honda Motorcycles has finally confirmed the arrival of the Honda Africa Twin. No more rumors, it is real now or might be making its official appearance in the coming Autumn season of 2015. The manufacturer christened it as the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin. When revealed for the first time in the month of November, 2014, it was just a prototype of this upcoming motorcycle. Now, the maker is teasing the fanatics with a few teaser images showcasing the style acquired by the same.

Starting from the base, it is inspired by the CRF line-up of the Honda and the pretty old XRV v-twins. In the making of this Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin, the firm has used the CRF DNA. Even after using a V-Twin engine displacement, the manufacturer has managed to give this motorcycle an outstanding style; by keeping the dimensions and weight on the charts. This also helps out to achieve a good power and torque figures. The motorcycle can be easily ridden over the tarmac roads and mud as well.

The riding posture has been handled by wide and flat handlebars incorporated with hand-guards. Retaining the dual headlamp style, the manufacturer has given an amazing and equally aggressive look to the motorcycle. BY having a close look at the teaser images, it clearly seems that the firm has taken a little bit of inspiration from the Dakar Rally motorcycles. The wire spoke wheels will be offered over the standard model and it gives clear indications that the upcoming would be an off-road motorcycle.

The additional components to provide better riding quality is Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), offered as an option. The DCT will help the rider to ride the motorcycle without pulling a clutch. DCT will let the rider to shift with the help of handlebar buttons or a foot lever; and it lets you ride the motorcycle with a standard gearbox, without using any clutch. A Fully automatic option is also made available. Eventually, after witnessing the prototype in the EICMA 2014, we are expecting from the maker to display the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin as show stopper at their stall.
