Honda Aims To Produce Maximum Zero-emission Cars by 2030

During the recently held Press conference, Honda President & CEO, Takahiro Hachigo announces some major great setbacks that will become the future of Honda and its valued consumers. Honda aims to focus completely on developing zero emission cars and will turn the fuel-run cars into eco-friendly cars. The CEO said, “By 2030 the company will strive to make fully two-thirds of its cars electrified in some way--including hybrids, plug-in hybrids, battery-electric, and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles.”

At the conference, he shared the company’s strategy towards the development of new products. The talk delivered was all about the future perspective and roadmaps to the long term goals. However, the company plans to continue serving with the current rate of producing fuel-run vehicles for the global market.

2017 Honda clarity Sedan

Hachigo also ensured that the next generation Accord will be powered by an improved two-motor hybrid system, that could offer better fuel economy of up to 47 mpg. Looking to this, Honda has planned to launch the hydrogen fuel cell-run 2017 Honda Clarity sedan in Japan by next month. The company also plans to develop the next-generation fuel-cell system with the help of General Motors. In the coming couple of years, the automaker shall be launching EV-Cub, a mass-production electric motorcycle. It is likely to replace the conventional gasoline-powered Cub motorcycles in the future.
