Honda Amaze Creates New Milestone; Crosses 2-Lakhs Sales

First launched in 2013, the Amaze, which is not only the first diesel car in India, but it also made its  entry as a compact sedan for Japanese automaker Honda. It was followed by its facelifted version in 2016 along with a CVT option. In a recent news, the carmaker has confirmed about its milestone which shows that the Amaze has crossed over the sales of 2-Lakhs units in the country.

Talking about its milestone of the Amaze, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India stated, “Honda Amaze has established itself as a very successful entry sedan in the Indian market. During the span of 3 years, it has achieved sales milestone of 2,00,000 units bringing new customers into Honda fold. The car has been extremely popular in both big and smaller cities due to its strong value offering and Honda's core strengths of quality, durability and reliability. We are extremely thankful to all our customers for their continuous support and faith in the brand".


Pursuing the details, Honda Amaze has achieved an overall sales record of 203,894 units in India out of which 107,928 come up for diesel engine and 95,966 recorded for petrol engine units since its launch. Before the arrival of Volkswagen Ameo, the Amaze is locking the horns with Maruti Dzire, Ford Figo Aspire, and Hyundai Xcent.
