Honda CB Shine SP Launched in India, Details Inside

After teasing the audience with the 125cc mystery motorcycle at the RevFest earlier this year, the Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the Honda CB Shine SP in the Indian two wheeler market. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 59,900 to 64,400 (Ex. Showroom Delhi).  The new version of CB Shine will be sold in the country in three variants- Self-Drum-Alloy, Self-Disc-Alloy and Self-Disc-Alloy-CBS. However, the company has completed its target by introducing the fifteenth product in a year. Furthermore, the new version of CB Shine has received cosmetic updates that look more appealing and more promising than its regular version.

The Shine SP comes powered by the same motor that also does duty on the regular CB Shine 125. The engine of Shine SP has been tweaked for improved power and fuel economy. Powering the CB Shine SP is an air-cooled, single-cylinder and 124.73cc motor that returns 10.57 BHP of power at 7500 RPM and makes 10.30 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The Shine SP comes with a five-speed transmission as the new version propels the power output via five-speed transmission, while the current CB Shine has only four speed transmission. The Honda Eco Technology endows dynamic performance and smooth ride quality.

The 2016 CB Shine SP is also features longest wheelbase and also has higher ground clearance (160mm) for a comfortable ride. It measures 2007mm in length, 762 mm in width and 1085 mm in height. Furthermore, it comes featured with a digital-analog instrument cluster that looks pretty much standard with its body profile.

In terms of mechanicals, the new CB Shine SP gets front telescopic forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear while braking performance are taken care by a front 240 mm disc and a rear 130 mm drum brake. The Combi-Braking System (CBS) is being offered as standard on the top variant.

The bike will be available in 5 stunning colors- Geny Grey Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, Pearl White, Black and Rebel Red Metallic.
