Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin Showed up in Leaked Video

Just 2 days back, we've got a confirmation of the arrival of the most rumored off-roader coming from the Honda Motorcycles, which is christened as Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin. For the first time, the concept was being showcased at the EICMA, Milan Motorcycle Show, 2014, which took place in the month of November last year in Italy. Being an off-roader motorcycle, it was completely dredged by mud at the time of display. The teaser images revealed 2 days back showcased the front view and a little bit of side view including fuel tank, handlebar and the side badge of the "Africa Twin" over the little bit of bodywork.

The leaked video is much more ambiguous that it is pretty much difficult to fetch out the components and cosmetic makeover of the spied motorcycle. The video was being shot during the testing of the off-roader motorcycle, as it was being ridden over the dirt tracks. The leaked footage shows the wire-spoke wheels incorporated with twin disc brakes and ABS as standard. The knobby tyres will let you ride comfortably over the dirt-tracks and rough terrains, and it is also equipped with high quality chassis and suspension. The prototype showcased was pretty much different from the original one.

Considering the video, it revealed several buttons over the handlebar, which could be the different riding modes according to the terrain. Switchable engine maps and high-quality Traction Control system could also be expected to make their appearance in the mechanism of the motorcycle. And, for an Adventure motorcycle the TCS, engine riding modes and ECS have become some of the major components these days. The dual exhaust system looks pretty much similar to the one, which was being used in the BMW R1200GS.

After the teaser images, the leaked video has helped a lot to know more about the upcoming Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin. However, we will reach the final destination only when the firm itself discloses the technical factors and engine specifications of the upcoming off-roader. When launched, it will be competing against the BMW R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure; and the well-famed KTM 1190 Adventure.
