Honda India to Expand Scooter Lineup With A New Scooter This Month

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, is all set to enlarge its existing scooter lineup with the introduction of an all new Scooter by this month end. Mr YS Guleria, Senior Vice President, HMSI has confirmed it officially.

However, a single detail about this coming soon all-new scooter, has not been revealed, even its name. As per him, it is a surprise and will be officially unveiled at the launch event.

Altogether, in order to meet the March 31st deadline to update the whole product lineup for BSIV emission norms, the manufacturer has already started working on it. Like the recently launched 2017 CB Shine followed by New CB Hornet 160R and the CB Unicorn 160 are blessed with BSIV engine and the AHO (Auto Headlamp On) feature. Besides Honda, many others manufacturers are also trying their level best to meet the upgradation goal before the deadline.

Speaking to the carandbike, Mr Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd said, “It will be launched very soon and what it is, is a surprise, so wait for the launch. We can’t say anything more at this stage.”

“We are well prepared to meet the March 31 deadline and all our products across the board will be updated with BSIV ready engines and AHO,” he added further.

If presumes, Honda PCX125, which had officially been showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo last year, and an updated Honda Activa 3G, have a good chance to turn into this new scooter.
