Honda Initiates National Road Safety Week 2015, Suzuki Also Engages

The Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has come-up with a road safety initiative in the very starting of the year, 2015. In order to minimize the number of accidents over the Indian roads, the HMSI has organized National Road Safety Week, 2015. The Road Safety Week has started from 11th January and will get concluded on 17th January, 2015. HMSI along with its 815 dealers, 1150 authorized service centers, 5 regional offices and 3 manufacturing plants has conducted Safety Riding Pledges to spread the road safety awareness all across the country.

Starting from the "Road Safety Quiz", the two-wheeler manufacturer has conducted various seminars and training programs. The celebration was also followed by "Safety Slogan Competition". Just a few days back, the HMSI has taken an initiative for female riders. "Dream Riding", a riding program started by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter Pvt. Ltd., which is an initiative learnt riding in one single day. The "Dream Riding" took place at the Honda's traffic parks in Roshanara Bagh and Baba Kharak Singh Marg, New Delhi.

The Tata Motors has also taken part in the National Road Safety Week. The firm has organized 'Rally for Driving, Traffic Rules and Road Safety' in association with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and the Society for Automotive Fitness and Environment (SAFE). The Suzuki Motorcycles India has also made an announcement to take part in the ongoing National Road Safety Week, held from January 11 to January 17, 2015. The Suzuki officials will be organizing various rallies, distributing safety posters and banners, pocket guides, pamphlets, etc.

Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President at Suzuki Motorcycles India, says, "As a responsible automobile company, it is imperative that we are active participants in the initiative that educates and encourages people to drive safely. Two wheeler drivers are at a higher risk on the roads. The key to safe driving is a combination of defensive driving, adherence to traffic rules, situational awareness and common road sense. Suzuki is pleased to be associated with an initiative that may save the lives of countless motorists and pedestrians."
