Honda NAVi is Set for an Official Debut At 2016 Auto Expo

A little while back Honda advertised with a new year greeting poster on its official website as well as on the social media Facebook cover page quoted as “Happy NAVi Year”. This quite interesting creativity indicates that it could be a brand name plus is a fascinating way of introducing a new product. It is expected that the new commuter could make an official debut at the 2016 Auto Expo scheduled to be done in February in Greater Noida. However, it is still a surprise that whether Honda NAVi is a scooter or a motorcycle as rumors didn't give any clear picture.

Having a glance on the current commuter segment product portfolio of the auto giant, the scenario looks fairly impressive with a huge variety of commuters including nine motorcycles (excluding the Honda CBR150R and the CBR250R) and five scooters. These 14 products lie in the category of high-volume segment of two-wheelers having an engine displacement of 110cc and 160cc.

According to the sources, Honda NAVi will get a start-stop system, which will yield higher fuel efficiency. The same feature was also there on the Hero Splendor iSmart, but this has been developed in-house and would be a more superior one. Probably, the Tourer would be an all new 125cc commuter scooter as the company only offers one scooter presently in this segment. Though, it is just an assumption, further details are awaited for the forthcoming Auto Expo 2016.
