Honda To launch CB Hornet 160R On 10th December, 2015

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is finally going to kick off its last and 15th product by the end of the current year as the company has official confirmed that it will launch its much awaited motorcycle, Honda CB Hornet 160R, in the domestic market on 10th December, 2015. The launching event has been scheduled in Goa and media ride has been scheduled for the next day of the launch. The bookings of the motorcycle have already been commenced with an amount of Rs. 5000. The new CB Hornet 160R will come against to the Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer and Hero Xtreme Sports. CB Hornet 160R will be positioned beside Honda CB Unicorn 160, but might be costly then the CB Unicorn 160.

Honda CB Hornet 160R Instrument

The all-new CB Hornet 160R will power by the same 162.7cc air-cooled and single cylinder motor that also powers the CB Unicorn 160. The motor of new CB Hornet 160R might be tuned to produce more power and fuel economy as well. The CB Unicorn 160 propels 14.5 BHP of power at 8,000 RPM and 14.16 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM, the motor is coupled with the five speed transmission. Moreover, the motor is programmed with Honda ECO Technology, which is claimed to offer a dynamic performance and excellent ride quality.

In terms of design, the Honda CB Hornet 160R has taken inspiration from the CX-01 concept, which was announced at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The key design features include a muscular fuel tank, rigid and sharp shape with position lamps, LCD digital meter, new wave disc brakes with CBS and wide rear tyre. Furthermore, the headlamp looks very sharp and edgy with plastic cladding on the sides, short tail with 'X' shaped LED and one piece seat.
