Honda’s Projected Plans for FY 2018-19

With the launch of four new products like the Cliq, Grazia, X-Blade and the Africa Twin during last fiscal, the Japanese bike maker recorded an outstanding last year. The new financial year 2018-19 has begun and the company has projected its plans including new launches, updation, dealership network expansion and much more.

As planned for next fiscal, there will be a new model that will be included in the existing lineup, yet they all will be updated for the next year. All the 25 two-wheelers in the Honda’s Indian lineup will barely see changes on the cosmetic front. In addition to this, the company will focus on migrating to BS-VI emission norms that will be implemented in the country from April 2020.

The whole mentioned scenario will attract a huge investment of INR 800 crore. A substantial part of which will be used to expand brand’s dealership network up to 6000 outlets across the country. By planning for all this, the company is eyeing on twice the fiscal growth that was 22 percent for the last fiscal.

As per the Honda’s plan for FY18-19, a new product will hit the market. It could be a CBU brought down lower capacity scooter or a motorcycle offering as it will end up the need for investing time and money in the country. This logic brought new CB100 as a better suggestion for HMSI in this fiscal.
