Husqvarna has started teasing its fans with its most awaited off-roader, 701 Supermoto. The firm has showed up the concept of its upcoming off-roader back in the year, 2013. After revealing the concept, the maker has finally disclosed the model at the EICMA Motorcycle Show, 2014. The EICMA was being held in Milan, Italy. The concept model and the showcased model, both were carrying huge similarities for obvious reasons. Recently, the firm has released a teaser, which shows the 701 Supermoto in action. The teaser showcases the drifting of the motorcycle that too, over the frozen lake.
The Husqvarna is using the very similar engine, which was being used by the KTM in the 690 SMC R. Both the motorcycles are powered by the very same single-cylinder, spark-ignition and liquid-cooled motor carrying an engine displacement of 690cc. The manufacturer's boffins have tuned the 690cc displaced engine to deliver a maximum power of 66 BHP and 67 Nm of approx torque.
In order to provide an amazing riding quality, the firm has installed a slipper clutch and ride-by-wire throttle. The Husqvarna has catered enhanced quality suspensions catered by WP. Being an off-roader, the firm has given switchable engine modes for the riders with which they can select their own riding modes. The 701 Supermoto is equipped with ABS braking functionality. It is featuring 14 liters fuel tank capacity and weighs 145 kg.

At the beginning of the teaser, it shows a frozen lake and then it came back to the 701 Supermoto showing a little bit of curves and cues of the motorcycle. The teaser was concluded with the firm's tagline given to the motorcycle, i.e. "In Search of the Essence". The expected price tag to be carried by the Husqvarna 701 Supermoto would probably stand around £7,899.
