2018 Hyosung GT250R ABS Launched in India

The Hyosung GT250R that was due for new generation update, has got the advanced safety feature of ABS in India. This update is published by the DSK Hyosung India via its social media platforms. The decision of adding ABS to this bike has been taken by the Korean two-wheeler manufacturer post announcement of upcoming safety norms that are going to be more stringent. Also, it mandates the use of ABS in bikes above 125cc engine displacement from April this year. In the segment, it is the second bike with ABS. Other than this, Benelli 302R comes with ABS.

Moreover, no changes are witnessed on the new Hyosung GT250R. The powertrain is all similar to the regular model. The 249cc oil cooled, fuel injected, the V-Twin engine generates the maximum power of 28bhp at 10,000 rpm and peak torque of 22Nm at 8000 rpm. The power out is transmitted to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox.

The Hyosung GT250R suspends on the USD front forks and a hydraulic rear monoshock. While to control the bike, automaker equipped it with a dual disc setup up front and a single disc setup at the rear.

On weighing scales, the bike tips at 188 kg and has a large capacity fuel tank of 17 litres. Available colour options for the motorcycle includes Titanium White, Black and Red shade.

In terms of pricing, we can witness the difference of INR 20,000 between the ABS and non-ABS variants of the model. The non-ABS variant is priced at INR 3 Lakh.
