Hyundai Brought Next Generation Verna to India

After introducing the famous SUV Creta in the market, Hyundai is continually making efforts to make its presence felt in the automobile industry. The company had updated the i20 and i20 Active models with latest technology in order to boost up the sales and later came up with the plan of launching the anniversary edition of i20 Active. Recently, a market report revealed that one unit of next generation Verna was re-imported to India after it was sent to South Korea for testing. This model has been code-named as RBI and is anticipated to arrive in India by early 2017.

This next generation sedan will be based on the same Fluidic Design v2.0 like its predecessor. However, the styling cues for the exterior portion might carry an all new look including new headlamps, revised bonnet, re-designed air dam and grille, etc. Besides these, parts like rear section, tail lights and exterior paint shade might also receive a new look. Similarly, inside the car, modern equipments like infotainment facility with touchscreen interface might be equipped along with an added legroom at the rear section.

Hyundai Solaris

Under the hood, this upcoming model is expected to carry the same motor that is found in the Korean spec (also known as Accent or Solaris). It is powered by a 1.6 litre GDi engine that delivers 134.08Bhp output and torque amounting to 300 Nm. For transmission, there is a seven-speed dual clutch unit and the mileage on offer is measured as 18.3 kmpl. Cars like Fiat Linea, Skoda Rapid, Maruti Ciaz, and Volkswagen Vento will create an obstacle for the upcoming version of Verna. The expected price bracket for this sedan might be fixed at INR 8-12 Lacs (ex-showroom).
