Hyundai Creta Sets A Milestone: Check Out How

Hyundai Creta was launched on 21 July 2015 in India. And now it has created a milestone by selling 5 lakh units. Hyundai Creta becomes the first SUV to sell in five-digit numbers that too monthly. Hyundai did not expect this even after being consistent on a monthly basis. The popularity of the SUV is growing and there is no doubt in it because of its stunning looks.

Out of 5 lakh units of Hyundai Creta, 1.4 lakh has been sold in export markets while the 3.7 lakh examples have been sold in the domestic market. If seen, it has taken 43 months to set the milestone and selling 5 lakh units of the SUV. The Hyundai Creta has grabbed the second position on the UV sales charts of India by following the footsteps of most-demanded Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza compact SUV which has surpassed a 4 lakh units milestone lately.

Hyundai Creta offers varieties in powertrain and gearboxes i.e. users have many options to choose. Hyundai Creta comes in 1.6-litre petrol, 1.4-litre diesel, and 1.6-litre diesel powertrains which are married to either a manual gearbox or an automatic transmission gearbox. And as expected, customers are purchasing diesel i.e out of 3.7 lakh examples sold, 2.56 lakh are the diesel versions.

The facelift Creta was launched in 2018 and with extra features, it was launched at the beginning of 2019. At present, the Creta is an offend of the eye for most car manufacturers in India. This segment has become a talking point and the new models like Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Kicks and Tata Harrier want to take place of the Creta in the market share. Even Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Ford, Kia Motors and MG Motor has rolled up their sleeves to bring the midsize SUVs. meanwhile, Hyundai is set to launch the next-generation by 2020.
