Hyundai Tucson Facelift Unveiled: NY Motor Show 2018

Hyundai, a South Korean Automaker has revealed the fresh version of Tucson during the ongoing New York Motor Show 2018. It is expected that the new facelift variant of the Tucson to reach India by the end of this year. In India, the car will compete against the Jeep Compass, VW's Tiguan and the Honda CR-V.

The facelift of the Tucson SUV comes in the North American market along with various driver assist features such as lane-keep assist, driver attention warning technology, and autonomous emergency braking. Further, it takes high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera. The SUV will also be updated with an 8.0-inch infotainment system along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Coming to the power and engine, the SUV will likely to take the same engine choices of 2.0-litre petrol engine generating 155hp and 2.0-litre diesel motor generating 185hp. Both the engine options come with either a six-speed torque converter automatic or a six-speed manual.

The Tucson range was previously available with completely 2WD but later the company has introduced the 4WD variant at the end of last year at a price tag of Rs. 25.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The all-wheel-drive system available in the single top-spec GLS trim with diesel engine only.

At the time of the 4WD variant launch, the company also upgraded the safety kit concerning the mid-spec GL trim. Further, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Down Hill Brake Control (DBC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and brake assist also included in the list of the Trim.
