Image of new Toyota Fortuner Revealed before its Official debut

An image of the next generation Toyota Fortuner has been leaked on interweb revealing a side profile of the SUV. This facelift model is expected to make its debut on July, 28 in Thailand. This SUV will be based on the newly introduced Hilux Revo, which was revealed in Thailand last month. A new ladder-frame chassis will be employed to the new Fortuner so that it is more stiff and easier to handle than the previous models. Further, to make it more safe, there will be seven airbags available in the model as compared to the current model which has just two front airbags.

From outside, the new Fortuner will feature gleaming headlights, finely chromed two-slat grille, and a revamped bumper highlighting chromed fog lights. Coming to the interior, the cabin of this SUV will feature a multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control and high-tech infotainment facility.

The powertrain of this upcoming model will have a new range of GD diesel units. It will be powered by either a 2.4 litre or a 2.8 litre, four cylinder engine. Apart from this, there will be a six-speed automatic as well as manual transmission system equipped in the vehicle.

Before its launch in India, the new Toyota Fortuner is likely to be displayed at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The price range is expected to be between INR 22 Lacs to INR 25 Lacs. SUV models like Hyundai Santa Fe, Ford Endeavour and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport are the potential competitors of the upcoming Fortuner.
