India Based Hyundai Elantra Set to Run with Two Powertrain

To lock the horns with cars such as Toyota Corolla Altis, Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Jetta and Chevrolet Cruze, the next generation Hyundai Elantra is all set to be showcased in the showroom by September this year. In order to lay down its rivals on the road, the upcoming model is coming with following two powertrain- 2.0-litre four cylinder petrol motor and 1.6-litre diesel engine. Where the former is good for 149 Bhp of power, the later is tuned to fire out 136 Bhp that is slightly 8 hp higher than the current one.

The transmission duties are going to be taken care of by a six speed manual and automatic as well for both the engines.
