India Bound New Generation Honda Jazz Unlatched in Shanghai

The Japanese car making company, Honda has removed all the curtains from its new generation Jazz hatchback at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. This runabout is already available at dealerships in China, while it's probably to be embarked in the Indian showroom in the second quarter of this ongoing year. Brand's 'Exciting H Design' philosophy underpins the car with more jaw-dropping and captivating outlook as compared to its predecessor. Inside, this vehicle includes a 7 inch Honda Connect infotainment system in order to give the detail related to traffic and social media.

Moreover, it's blessed with MirrorLink, internet connectivity, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Occupants will have a comfortable seating as the manufacturer will offer 2nd row 'Magic Seats' including more spacious environment than its outgoing variant. In the Chinese market, this runabout is present with a 1.5 litre SOHC i-VTEC engine that have been mated to a 7-speed stepped CVT transmission. The powertrain pumps out an appreciable power of 130 bhp and a superb torque of 155 Nm.

On the other hand, the next generation Jazz is anticipated to arrive in India with two mill options for 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel units in which, the former one is same as the previous model and another one is carried out from Amaze, City and Mobilio. Both of these engines are believed to create outputs of 87 bhp and 99 bhp, respectively. Notably, Honda seems to introduce a performance oriented version later that will be powered by a 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engine as the City and would receive a 5-speed CVT gearbox.

However, its regular variants will be paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. After the launch in our country, this hatchback will take on the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
